Ali Hosseini Khamenei was an Iranian politician and Shia cleric who served as the second supreme leader of Iran from 1989 until his assassination in 2026. He previously served as the president of Iran from 1981 to 1989. His tenure as supreme leader, spanning 36 years and six months, made him the longest-serving head of state in the Middle East at the time of his death.

Ekrem İmamoğlu is a Turkish politician who has served as the 32nd Mayor of Istanbul since 2019. He is currently suspended from office by the governor and remains in pretrial detention since 19 March 2025 at Marmara Prison (Silivri). He denies the accusations and claims they have been politically motivated. He is the Republican People's Party (CHP) presumptive candidate for the next Turkish presidential election.

Mojtaba Hosseini Khamenei is an Iranian politician and Muslim cleric. The second eldest child of Ali Khamenei, the former supreme leader of Iran, Mojtaba Khamenei served in the Iran–Iraq War from 1987 to 1988, and also reportedly took control of the Basij that was used to suppress the protests over the 2009 election.

Fumio Kishida is a Japanese politician who served as Prime Minister of Japan and President of the Liberal Democratic Party (LDP) from 2021 until his resignation in 2024. Kristalina Ivanova Georgieva-Kinova is a Bulgarian economist who has served as the 12th managing director of the International Monetary Fund since 2019. She is the first person from an emerging market economy to lead the institution.
