Spain Closes Express Residency Path for Venezuelans After 240,000 Permits

Spain announced the closure of a fast-track humanitarian residency program for Venezuelans, which has issued about 240,000 permits since 2018. This change comes as Venezuela's community in Spain has rapidly increased, now totaling around 700,000 residents, making Spain the largest destination for Venezuelan migrants outside the Americas.
